Quex Barn is on a mission to bring fresh, local produce to local people, while also welcoming the many visitors who come to this beautiful corner of Kent. Fortunate to be surrounded by some of the most productive and fertile land in the British Isles, Quex Barn is proud to showcase exceptional local produce and support a wide network of local suppliers. The Barn features a traditional butchery, delicatessen, wet fish stall, bakers, fruit and vegetable stalls, floristry, a coffee shop and a restaurant. Together, these offer an outstanding selection of local fruit, vegetables and livestock, and—being located within two miles of the sea—an abundance of fresh fish. Visitors are invited to browse the farm shop, enjoy the welcoming atmosphere and sample delicious, freshly prepared food.

Set in the heart of the historic Quex Park Estate, Quex Barn has been a hub of local produce, serving the best the local area has to offer for over 15 years. Our traditional Kentish barn provides a light, spacious environment to browse one of Kent’s biggest local produce range. South East Kent, including Thanet, has an abundance of Grade 1 agricultural land, which means the soil conditions are perfect to grow a wide range of agricultural and horticultural crops, including top fruit, soft fruit, salad crops and winter harvested vegetables, with consistently high yeilds. We stock the best of this produce, rotating our offerings with the seasons.

Dining: Quex Barn Coffee Shop – The Quex Barn Coffee Shop is open seven days a week, from 9am to 5pm. Set within the heart of a historic Kentish barn, the coffee shop offers a cosy and welcoming atmosphere, with a log-burning stove providing the perfect setting to enjoy a hot drink alongside a freshly baked sausage roll or slice of cake. The Restaurant at Quex Barn has been serving the finest local produce for over 15 years, offering a menu of traditional British dishes made using ingredients from the on-site butchery, fishmonger, delicatessen and greengrocer. Converted from traditional farm buildings, the collection of beautifully restored stays includes The Stables, The Flint Barn, The Cow Shed and The Granary, each thoughtfully designed to celebrate the estate’s rustic heritage while providing high-quality amenities.
