Powell-Cotton Museum Benefactors

Making a difference to our everyday work necessary to maintain and develop our Museum and Garden collections for future education and enjoyment

The Powell-Cotton Museum, Quex House and Gardens is a Charitable Trust that does not receive core funding from the Department of Culture, Media and Sport.  As such, we are incredibly grateful for the additional support we receive from our visitors. Income received from benefactors is a wonderful way for you to invest in the future of the Powell-Cotton Museum future and make an essential contribution to funding our work.

By donating a minimum of £20 a month, or £200 a year, Powell-Cotton Benefactors provide a valuable source of ‘unrestricted’ income that we can use where the need is greatest in the coming years.

Examples of how your money helps

  • £60 will pay for a new interpretation panel
  • £100 will pay for an environmental monitor
  • £200 will pay for a new wooden bench for the gardens
  • £300 pays for educational materials and activities
  • £500 will pay for summer bedding for the Victorian Walled Gardens
  • £1000 will pay for a new state of the art cabinet for our primate collection

What we can do for you in return

  • Invites to Private Views to meet our specialist curators and staff
  • An annual pass to visit the Museum, House and Gardens
  • Optional acknowledgement in the Museum entrance and on the Museum website
  • Invitation to meet our Trustees and attend the Annual General Meeting
