The Powell-Cotton Museum is excited to invite families to a bone-rattling good time this October Half Term, when the museum team are here to help you get hands on and explore the collections in new ways.
Do you have X-ray vision? Use our giant drawing screens and let the whole family get creative. Discover what's on the inside of the animals in our dioramas - what makes a giraffe so different from a gorilla?
The bone hunt! Can you identify 10 objects in our museum which are made of bone? Use your trail sheet, find them all and collect your sweet treat prize!
Join us for "The Curious Creatures of Quex House" tour. Hidden throughout Quex House are all kinds of animals, what are they and where are they lurking? Make a Halloween lantern and with your tour guide, explore the house, discovering its secrets by lantern-light. (Additional charge applies). Book on arrival, sessions will be running throughout the day.
All activities are fully wheelchair accessible.
